• British Association award from the Committee for the Public Understanding of Science (COPUS) received to promote the   public understanding of science (Dec 1994). I conducted interviews with researchers at Newcastle’s Medical School and   hospitals into research topics of interest to the lay population. BBC Radio Newcastle broadcast my series of interviews on   their weekday afternoon show
